Not only does it require only a small investment in equipment, but it also allows silk screen printing in a small space.
Bando-Shouten has installed a semi-automatic screen printer with the GOCCOPRO 100 in a 13 square meter (140 square feet) workshop.
GOCCOPRO 100 is compact enough to be stored under a tool cabinet, and when not in use, it can fit in a space of about 0.8 square meter (8.6 square foot) area

In-house production of personalized printing eliminates concerns about delivery time.
Bando-shoten’s post-opening sales were favorable, but the delivery time for outsourcing personalized printing was a source of concern.
“Towels used for local events such as athletic meets and corporate promotional items are often personalized with printing. Approximately 70% of the towels we sell are ordered with personalized printing.
However, in recent years, the number of subcontractors for personalized towel printing has been decreasing, and the work is concentrated in the hands of a few companies.
We were troubled by the fact that this was slowing down delivery times. ”
If you outsource printing on standard towels with only text, the delivery time is about one week to ten days. During peak season, it takes several more days.
“If you submit a lot of work and get along well with them, they can sometimes shorten the delivery time. However, if that company went out of business, we would have to start from scratch to find another outsourcing company.
That’s why we decided to print in-house.” (President Bando)
Space saving and cost reduction
With the GOCCOPRO 100, the screen is stretched onto the frame after screen making, removing the need to keep frames in stock and minimizing storage space.
At Bando-shouten, repeated orders are kept streched on their frames, and those that are ordered less frequently are removed from the frames and stored, taking up almost no space.
Rather, printing costs, which used to cost several million yen per year to outsourcing companies, have been greatly reduced, and on top of that, income has increased as the company now takes on printing jobs from other companies.
The printing quality is high, and urgent orders can be turned around in one day.
President Bando says, “We are also satisfied with the print quality.
The GOCCOPRO 100 prints fine charactors at a high resolution of 600dpi x 600dpi because it directly make screens from computer data.
Even addresses and phone numbers with small characters can be read properly. In addition, customers are pleased that we can now imprint names with logos and illustrations, which we previously refused to do.”
Above all, he says, the advantage of introducing the GOCCCOPRO 100 is the shortened delivery time.
It is now possible to imprint names in a few days, and “a rush order of about 1,000 towels can be done in one day. Even during the busy season when demand for personalized towels increases rapidly, we no longer have to keep customers waiting.”

Summary
The demand for custom-made goods, from corporate promotional items to consumer goods, is becoming increasingly smaller in lot size and shorter in delivery time.
The key to meeting this trend is “in-house production.”
RISO-DTS will make it possible for even small businesses to achieve this.
