RISO Dry Thermal Screen Making System that is constantly evolving-

The digital screen making machine “GOCCOPRO” from RISO can be considered a groundbreaking device in the world of screen printing. Screen making can be done quickly and at low cost with a simple operation like a printer, and since there is no need for a dark room or washing equipment, capital investment is small. It is a process-saving, cost-saving, and ecological screen -making method compared to emulsion screen -making.

History of the GOCCOPRO

This year commemorates the 10th anniversary since the launch of the inaugural model in the series, the “GOCCOPRO 100.” Its fundamental technology, the “RISO DTS (*1)” traces its origins back to the mimeograph version of the “RISO” introduced in 1958. This innovation brings us back to the essence of the “RISOGRAPH.”

*1: RISO DTS = Abbreviation for RISO Dry Thermal screen Making System

This is a printing machine developed by Riso Kagaku Corporation (the company name at the time of its establishment in 1946 was Riso Shya), which was founded as a mimeograph printing business.
Since then, he has produced products that utilize the principle of mimeograph, such as the simple printing machine for home use “Print Gocco” (1977) and the automatic printing machine “Risograph” (1980).
Both mimeograph and screen printing are forms of stencil printing.

Riso Kagaku Corporation has developed a digital screen machine “SP400D” obtained from the step of Screen making of RISOGRAPH.
The “GOCCOPRO 100” is a further evolution of the machine’s performance.
Both mimeograph and screen printing are forms of stencil printing.
Furthermore, the user-friendly nature of ‘Print Gocco,’ offering an enjoyable stencil printing experience as a hobby, seamlessly transitions to the professional realm with ‘MiScreen A4,’ a tool ideal for crafting products for prosumers.
In this way, the “GOCCOPRO Series” was not born in one day, but a system created by Riso Kagaku Corporation, which has been a wide-ranging stencil duplicating technology maker for 75 years.
The reason why the GOCCOPRO series is so popular is that it continued to pursue the “ideal Screen making machine” after that.

Three years after the GOCCOPRO 100 was released, the “QS200” compatible with A2 wide size was released, and three years later, the high-end model “QS2536” boasting high accuracy and high image quality of 1200dpi was developed.
And this spring, “QS1836” corresponding to the frame for the long stand was newly added.
Riso is unique not only in developing hardware that meets such user needs, but also in researching not only machines but also software and supplies.

Until now, screen masters with improved solvent resistance, reinforcing agent “RISO MASTER HARDENER RED” with improved printing resistance, and dedicated software “GOCCOPRO Smart Color Separation” that automatically color-codes original data on a computer, etc. Has been provided to users.
As a result, the “GOCCOPRO Series” has become synonymous with digital Screen making machines, but in Europe and the United States, where efforts for ecology and digitization are advancing, GOCCOPRO is becoming the norm for screen Screen making.

It has been 10 years since its release. The GOCCOPRO series has steadily evolved into a machine that satisfies users.
It can be said that the background was 75 years of knowledge of stencil printing and constant efforts to pursue the ideal digital Screen making.
